25 January 2014 SEC Honours 2013

On 25/1/2014, Empowering Youth Endeavours (EYE) Project Management took another initiative action to organize Student Engagement Center (SEC) Honours Gala Night 2014. It was an Awards Night where the event was held at Auditorium Tun Dr Siti Hasmah, Menara Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM), Kuala Lumpur. The main purpose of the event was to celebrate the achievements, giving recognition and acknowledgement for the indefatigable work of all the winners of the clubs and nominees. Out of 161 submissions from 36 universities across Malaysia, these 18 societies had been selected to become top 3 nominees for 6 categories which includes Business Finance & Accounting, Environment, Technology, Sports, Charity & Welfare and Music & Culture.  A total of 12 guests from different sectors and 104 representative clubs attended the event.

Business, Finance & Accounting 


Project Featured: FIBES Series (Finance, Investment, Business, Entrepreneurship Society) is a yearlong event to promote students of Nottingham Malaysia Campus and connect them to successful businesses in Malaysia and Singapore.


Taylor’s Eco-Lovers Club

Project Featured: 50 Shades of Green is a tree-planting Club members' initiative to plant a minimum of 50 trees in the Subang Jaya area within three months of project commencement date.


Robotics Soccer Club – UKM

Project Featured: The club organises mentorship program for its members in building and programming robots. To note, the UKM-Robot Soccer won two Golds and a Bronze at the Roboworld Cup 2013.


Taylor’s Sky Adventure Club

Project Featured: Sky Adventure Club Futsal Competition 2013 is an annual event held to promote health and healthy competition among students as well as a fundraiser for the club.

Charity & Welfare

Malay Culture Society – KDU

Project Featured: MCS Fun Run 2013 is a charity run to raise funds for children in SHELTER - Home for Children that impacted approximately 1800 individuals

Music & Culture

Indian Culture and Language Society – UTAR

Project Featured: Most Number of Paper Boats Folded in a Day is an environmental awareness one-day event where participants attempt to fold 50,000 paper boats.
